I have been involved with MNDDC since 2007. I have been a board member and the club's treasurer for the past two years. As treasurer, I have been in charge of much of the administrative details for the club. I have developed systems and forms for tracking finances, inventory, and membership. I have also developed forms and procedures to bring organization to comp registration and scoring. I am an attorney and occasionally am called upon to give legal advice. And of course other miscellaneous duties, just trying to help the club be the best it can be. I would love to continue in the role I've played for the club for the past two years.

Most of you know my dogs, the misfit crew: Jun (border collie), my deaf dog and current disc dog, when she feels like it. Lok (border collie) my blind dog and first disc dog who still gets out to play rollers once in awhile. And Elo (cattle dog mix), my three-legged dog who may or may not ever play disc, but he makes me smile!

"Cut Taxes, and get the government out of our lives!" Oops! =-? Sorry...this isn't the Tea Party is it?  Yes, that's right, I'm the guy who makes stupid jokes that people don't always get.
Seriously, though, I've only been with the MNDDC since September of 2009, but I do know a good thing when I see it. I've really appreciated what the Club has given me so far, and that has been help and a medium in which to develop a better relationship with my "Best Friends". Those "Best Friends", of course, are my two Border Collies, Dougal and Fergus. It has also given me a medium to develop my relationship with my son, Taidg, who also competes with us as a team.
My motivation for running for the Board is to assist the Club in keeping the focus on the development of the relationship between dog and handler. It also is in helping promote the Club here in the State and Nationally. I believe we can do this by helping each other develop our teams. Finally, I would like to promote the FUN in the group. Oh, my God! Now I AM beginning to sound like a politician. =-f I'd better stop while I'm a head! =-!!!

Hello.

Most of you know a little about me but some of you don’t, so here goes.
My name is Brian Bruzek and I have been a member of the Minnesota Disc Dog Club since 2007. I have one crazy red Border Collie named “Rocket” (4yrs old), one crazier black and white BC named “Jack” (2yrs old), and one insane wife (of 20yrs) named “Mickey” who puts up with all of us boys! Oh yeah, I also have two cats – Moose & Ringo (both males). I have been employed by Lifetouch National School Studios Inc. (the largest school photography company in North America) as a Quality Assurance Specialist for the past 6 years, and I am responsible for inspecting camera and lighting systems and their components. Previous to that, I worked at Boston Scientific for 11 years as a Production Trainer responsible for maintaining FDA regulated files and processes for 45 employees. I play Bass in, and I am the leader of the local rock band “Blurry” and have been a professional musician since I was 18yrs old. Getting to know the members of this club and their dogs has been one of the great privileges of my life, so the opportunity to contribute more to this club is one that I must throw my hat in the ring for. Whether or not I become a board member, I believe it is my duty to help nurture and grow the MNDDC. However, being in a position to directly influence the future of this club is something I find very compelling, and I welcome the challenges that it surely will bring. My primary focus will be on growing our membership base while creating a greater awareness of our sport in general and a greater awareness of our club in particular. Another area of focus for me will be in the continued development of a solid freestyle skill set for all our members – it is a goal of mine to see us be as internally competitive as some of the more well-established clubs. This competition will fuel our ability to deliver a higher quality product at our shows, which in turn will bring opportunities to deliver our messages of building the bond and rescue awareness to a bigger audience on a brighter stage. I have strong opinions about this issue and others, but that does not mean I am inflexible or unwilling to listen. Quite the opposite; I value everyone’s input and I think communication between the board and its members should be on a wide, paved, two-way street. Feel free to contact me in any way possible – 651-216-9363 – btbruzek@gmail.com – PM me on the forum @ Rocketdog, or talk to me in person at one of our events. I am usually one of the first people on the field, and the last to leave, so catch me somewhere in between and let’s chat; I welcome your opinions and your questions! So - am I passionate about this sport? (Yes) Some would say too much so, but with that passion comes a tireless drive to see this club grow and succeed, elevating all of us to a higher ground, spreading our message and insuring that the Minnesota Disc Dog Club is an example for everyone in the dog-sport world to look up to.

Thanks for reading all of this!

Brian (Rocketdog) Bruzek

It's great to see everyone taking an interest in defining the future of the club.

Now let the political attack ad begin since all the nice stuff has been said.

Well...Let's see. They both have Border Collies so I can't go into the Breed issue... Oh, I know!  Since my opponents have both been in the Club since 2007, I think that must make them political insiders, don't you think? =-? How's that? Was that viscious enough for you?

As long as you put the saying "Hi my name is Terry and I approve this message" in there some where.
