Hello!
My name is Denise Koster and I have served on the Board for the past 2 1/2 years as Secretary. I have been a member of MNDDC since it's inception and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The club has grown considerably since it started and it's great to see new members join and improve the bond with their dog/s and their disc dog game. My goal has been and will continue to be, to keep the club moving in the direction that was set in motion by the founding people and maintain the philosophy they set out to adhere to. I decided to run for the Board again to do what I can to help the club be the best it can be. Thanks for your consideration.

Hi there,
I'm Sean Silvernail and have 2 Border Collies named Maverick and Iceman that play disc (and many other dogs as well). Together we are team Top Gun. I've been playing disc for about 2-1/2 years now in the club. Years before joining this club I was Vice President of the Southern Minnesota Sled Dog Club, we were an active rapidly growing club with a large base of beginning dog sledders are well as some seasoned racers. I would like to be on the board for this club so I may assist in keeping it going as one of the best dog sport related clubs around. I love how the club offers so much assistance to beginners...after all, they are the future of the sport! My wife and I have very happily hosted 2 P-Vybe training seminars and a competition out at our farm, we'd like to host more if we can! (playdates, another comp, more seminars). This upcoming year, now that I have 2 dogs that can perform a bit, I hope to be much more active in helping promote the club in demonstrations.

If anyone has any questions of me, please feel free to PM them to me.

Thank you for your consideration.

Hi Everyone! I'm Terry and my two Border Collies are Dougal and Fergus. We have been members of MNDDC for over two years now and have enjoyed our time with this club. Just as Denise stated, I do want to keep the club following it's prime directives. I also, want to see our members grow with their dogs in learning how to become better disc doggers. We have made a good start in this endeavor, but I can see us doing a lot more especially in the human aspect of the game. I am really interested in helping all our members learn to throw well so that they can feel comfortable when working with their dogs on aspects of the game. I have ideas about how to encourage all our members to do better, and to help our younger members as well. The future of disc dogging, as well as dog ownership, and dog rescue is with our children. If, through this club we can help perpetuate a better understanding of how to be a good dog/pet owner in our young people, I would like to see that happen.

Hi! My name is Mickey & I am running for a position on the board. I will also run for Secretary if I am voted onto the board.

I have been involved with this club since early 2007, both as a board member & as the events coordinator. Being a member of the board is quite an experience. It is fun, challenging & rewarding & I know I am up to the task.

I will represent you to the best of my abilities & always be available when you have questions or concerns. I will also continue to learn new things so that I can help this club grow in a direction that promotes having fun with your dogs.

I am excited for 2012 & can’t wait to see all our newest members attend seminars & playdates & possibly travel to out of state comps. I can’t wait to see what your dogs will learn next year from all the experienced players in the club.

Vote for me!

Hey guys, my name is Sadie Simmons
I am a new member to the club, I joined the beginning of the year 2011 after watching the demonstration at Expo. I watched the demo and knew I had to do that with with my puppy Gauge. I went to the booth and bought my first few discs that day!

As a beginner with the club I have been amazed at the willingness to help from everyone around me and Gauge and I really look forward to the future in the club and growing with it as the club grows. I think this would be the perfect opportunity for me to learn how all the aspects of the club work and will give me good insight.

This club and its members have been an amazing force in my life this year and I hope to become more active with time and I hope to show more people what disc dogg'n is really all about.

Thanks
Sadie Simmons

Hello! I am Brian Bruzek and I am a current member of the MNDDC Board. My seat on the Board is not
currently up for re-election, but I am running for President of the MNDDC. If you elect me I will
continue the traditions and ideals of our founders while bringing new ideas and helping all of us
develop as Disc Doggers and Ambassadors for Dog owners everywhere.
My main goals over the next two years will be:

1) Increase current member participation
2) Raise the skill level of the club as a whole – encourage more travel to Major competitions – and
be legitimately competitive when we do.
3) Increase our membership base.
4) Start a structured program for training more experienced handlers to become Judges.

We face some real challenges and some exciting opportunities as we head into the 2012 season
and I have outlined just a few of those here. This club has some amazing people involved so I know
that whatever challenges we face in the next two years, we will face them as a whole - this club always finds a way to work together.
I have a great passion for this sport, the dogs, and
the people involved, and would consider it a privilege to lead this club and help shape its future.

Thank You for your consideration!

My name is Larry, and im the current president but due to a busy work schedule am not going to rerun for president, just a normal spot on the board . Ive got two pibbles that play disk, but one was sidelined a couple years ago after a competition in Colorado where she became paralyzed due to an unknown infection. It was touch and go for a couple months but she pulled through. SHe did suffer some permanent damage so isnt the high flying pittie she used to be but still loves toss and catch.

Aside from the MNDDC im also heavily involved in dog rescue for ARLP (A Rotta Love Plus) and often have 1 or 2 rottie or pittie fosters in the house. I also handle the technical aspect of the clubs web presence with upgrades to the forum etc.

Was a busy year for me with work so instead of competing I spent most of my time judging when I could make an event. The club is consistently growing at a slow but steady pace and I would like to see that trend continue so we can continue to develop talent and share the bond building that disc has to offer.

Hi my name is Paul Winsworth my dogs are Grady and Shiner. We are TeamGrady. I've been with the Minnesota Disc Dog Club for three years and a board member for 2 of those years. I've really enjoyed being active in the group and helping out in demos, competitions and training. This past year has been amazing for Grady and me. We've had the opportunity to travel to several competitions out of state, getting to know other discs doggers and experience how other disc groups are run. I'm interested in becoming Vice President to steer the club in a direction that encourages new ideas, activities, club member participation and just having fun with your dog. Since joining the club the bond between me and my dogs has grown and that is why I believe in the importance of this club. I the coming year I would like to see more club involvement in the community, promotion of the sport of disc, growing club membership and promoting safe responsible dog handling. Thanks in advance! If you vote for me I will make all your wildest dreams come true.

I'm voting for Paul because he's going to buy us the land next to our property and personally finance a massive indoor heated/air conditioned training/competition arena with paved parking and a full size competition field that will be used every weekend and generate enough income that we never have to leave the property for work and the whole club will always a have a top notch facility for all year round...our wildest dreams can get pretty big. Oh yeah, it needs about 10 miles or so of canine carting/sledding trails too.

Only 10 miles.... That's going to be a short work out. Space station might be workable it depends on the permits and not sure we want to be in orbit with all the space junk floating around.
